Bob Stout

Postby TerryO » Wed Dec 21, 2011 4:50 pm

There was a posting on the PE forum yesterday announcing that Bob Stout evidently passed away in February. Given that a previous post of this nature was totally false, I can only hope that it isn't true, although I suspect that this may be authentic.

Best Regards,

Here's the text from yesterday's post on the PE website:

This may be old news but for those who hadn't heard - The Snippets Site is no more

Some of you might already be aware but I wanted to share the sad news as I was not aware of the following:

I don't know if anyone is still paying attention. I only just got here, myself, but if anyone is out there, you should know that Bob Stout died on February 27, 2011. Bob has been my co-worker, boss, customer, and family friend for more than 20 years.

This from

Should probably update the Sticky on Speaker Building.

My belated sympathies to out to his family and friends.

I am saddened to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was always kind and gracious even when under pressure - something I'm quite poor at. I have nothing but fond memories of our interaction over the years. He will be missed by many.

Maybe it's a little too late to revive Bob.....but I recall this list had a heart and a caring "arm around the shoulder" for novices.
I hope, in humble tribute to "the Stout", we could revive the list with some personal insights (which don't require statistical or scientific proof), some lively discussion (friendly flaming), in HIS honour.
Bob had such contagious generosity.
I shall start.

Wow... how the time slips by.

Maybe it is time to revive the interest in this list.
