A common choice is the Behringer ECM8000. It offers reasonable performance for a reasonable price. If you demand higher accuracy, you can send the microphone to a calibration service.

As about all measurement microphones are condensor microphones, you'll need to supply phantom power. This can easily be done with a small mixer, which will also be used as the microphone pre-amp (the microphone pre-amps which are built-in in many sound cards are often of very low quality). SOme pro sound cards already include good pre-amps and phantom power (like the M-Audio Firewire 410), but such a thing is more expensive than a cheap mixer from Behringer.

If you just need to adjust the frequency of a passive 1kHz notch filter, you can do with even with a cheap dynamic microphone.
